COLUMBIA AIRPORT, CA.

David McCord writes...

You can walk to town (1/2 mile) and find one of the best-preserved Gold Rush Era towns in California. The little town of Columbia is a State Park and looks right out of 1849! No motor vehicles allowed in town - only horses and horse drawn wagons. You can go for a ride on a horse, in a stagecoach or wagon with the Columbia Stage Line and Stables drink sasparilla or beer at the saloon, visit the Fallon House Theatre, Wells Fargo Office, browse the many curio shops and museums, pan for gold, or stay at the old Fallon Hotel, The City Hotel, or the Columbia Motel, much more.
