Nanaimo is an airport of entry for Canada, located on the 49th parallel on Vancouver Island,B.C. We have a 5000ft paved strip 34 and 16. There is a FSS on the field radio 122.10 A taxiway is currently being build to sevice a new golf course at the north end of the airport. We also have bungie jumping 1/2 mile away with free pick-up. From Nanaimo it is a short hop over to the west coast where you can land and camp on the beach at Vargas Island or Nootka Island, really, I do it all the time.
