Lancaster, Texas (LNC) is just southeast of Dallas, and houses the
DFW wing of the Confederate Air Force. They have their own small museum
and aircraft display, and it is always fun to see what they are working on
in their hangar at an given time. Within walking distance of the airport
is Air Salvage of Dallas (ASOD), and it is a fun place to browse to see
what is available for parts. Runway at LNC is 4999x100', asphalt; last
time I went in there I had to keep my speed up on final as the aircraft
following me was an F4U Corsair.
